Better numbers for units under construction. However we also just approved a plan for 31,000 jobs in your district vs. 8,800 units and most of that larger pipeline is on Treasure Island, Merced and Candlestick and will take decades to show up.https://twitter.com/MattHaneySF/status/1150420674608898048 …

Doesn't "the pipeline" include all the units Haney and company will eventually kill once it's discovered they'll increase shade over the corner of a park for 15 minutes a day?

also Hunter’s Point, I think (it is, rightly, gonna be a long time before any of those get built)

And insofar as the consensus is (rightly) that Treasure Island/Hunter's Point is a far more regressive place to build than the west side... it seems problematic to hold up this number as "we're doing enough"

What'e the alleged fantasy-number of units for the Hunter's Point project?

Thanks. So these dubious mega-projects serve the function of allowing people like Haney to pretend they're not hostile to addressing the housing shortage.

the thing about Haney is I think for the most part he isn’t hostile his colleagues, tho…

Yeah he’s not as bad individually, but he does enable his colleagues, who are actively bad.

I don't follow SF super-closely, and I think maybe I've been exposed to more dubious statements from him than the others. Who are the worst on housing on the board? Peskin? Fewer? Ronan?

from a bit of a distance, Peskin seems the worst but almost all of them suck tbh
