that's ridiculous. If you're like everything's the problem and therefore nothing's the problem, you're not fixing anything.

In no way does anyone who’s pushing the charter amendment believe it’s “make or break” at all. It’s a self imposed hurdle that came about because the federal government made it illegal to simply say “we don’t want the poors in our neighborhood” why can’t we just get rid of it?

I get it. I don’t care about DR. I’m just suggesting that if we are going to propose policy, we should have evidence that is not anecdotal about why it’s necessary, or at least not tell people to STFU if they are skeptical about the lack of data.

If we could upzone the west side (which I support) and still have DR (which is not make or break), is that better than the status quo?

In my professional judgment as a full-time negotiator, I’m observing that your rhetoric has gotten away from you and you are sitting on a deal. So either you don’t want the deal because you have other political objectives, or you can’t see what’s in front of you.

The comments from BOS members at Rules Cmte were thoughtful and opened the door for collaboration on the Affordable Homes for Families & Educators rezoning measure. Supe Walton's words were particularly poignant about accusations of "Nimbyism". http://sanfrancisco.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=13&clip_id=33613 … (2:41:50)

Interesting Peter, I watched a majority of the BOS trash, berate and continually cut off the director of MOHCD, a woman who’s dedicated her life to building Affordable Housing in San Francisco. We must have been at a different hearing.

Sam Moss you left the hearing before public comment was over and the Supervisors (six of them) made their remarks. It's at least worth listening to, whether you agree with them or not. http://sanfrancisco.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=13&clip_id=33613 … … (2:16 - 2:49)

Ok I’ll take a look. I’m blown away though that anyone who sat through the first hour is ok with the BOS behavior. You and I don’t necessarily invite each other to Chanukah Peter but I wouldn’t wish that on you either. I’m disappointed in our leaders.

Sam, you’re tone policing the legislative branch for being too dickish in how they exercise checks and balances to the executive branch? That’s not on-brand for you.

Um, if the city's planning director says his dept has to review more projects than any other city in the country and we have the highest construction costs and highest housing/rental costs, don't you think we might have to re-examine our process?https://twitter.com/kimmaicutler/status/1148317151570251776 …
