if your point is (as it previously was) that social housing can't work because Vienna required low land prices after WWI, that's false-- the program was nascent between the wars, & the bulk of the housing was built after WWII, & much of it in the 60s & 70s, & on into the 200s
if your point is that social housing, like every kind of housing that is not the way we do market rate housing for the wealthy currently, requires a lot of funding, funding that vienna gets much of from the federal government, that's true. but not unique to social housing
