I didn’t see the numbers for SFState included, but I’ve seen the cars and mobile homes and I know professors who wind up helping students navigate academia while homeless.

I often think about the resilience of these enrolled students (who are also often working two or three jobs on top of trying to get a degree) and think well shit, what could they accomplish with that much grit if they had more support? Maybe *they* should be at Harvard.
