Surprise. SF supervisors don't want to help mayor @LondonBreed solve the housing crisis by making the approvals process go faster for 100% affordable projects because they like discretionary power.https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/SF-Mayor-London-Breed-struggles-to-build-14000711.php …

You can't even get a discretionary review if it's illegal to build it in 70% of the city.

I did a double take when I saw Joseph Smooke in the article. He recently was on a panel hosted by the Haight-Ashbury Neighborhood Council, where he screened a film called "Priced Out". His film's message is that SF needs to build more affordable housing. https://twitter.com/_fruchtose/status/1139382533345300481 …pic.twitter.com/WqnLaEEhKU

All new developments are required to include a percentage of ‘affordable’, right? Next point: I propose retaining the Victorians in SF and build new where the buildings are ugly, West Oakland and SouthBerkekey, for example. Sim places on Peninsula.

"Streamlining" is meaningless. Legalize citywide and support it by-right. It might mean less business to the deeply connected insiders in CCHO, but too bad, because people would get actual homes to live in.

90% of construction should be by-right. Stop the endless fights over every little stupid thing.
