I too can play the personal anecdotes game. My parents, in their 60s, are the youngest people on their block. This is the height of bad faith arguments; we can't pass this sensible legislation because it doesn't go far enough; knowing full well that she'll just shoot down the next proposal. I also love the Trumpian "countless communities" have contacted her all echoing her viewpoint.

The local control people need to acknowledge that you can’t regulate regional markets at the local level. What they’re opposed to is a comprehensive solution, aka a viable one. IMO these are not serious people. Market denial is up there with climate denial.
