These are basically silicon valley industry events though. Silicon Valley is both a geographic term we use in the SFBA and a industry metonym.

For some context, the driving distance from west Fort Worth to the Dallas exurb of McKinney is about 70 miles, yet are all a part of the DFW metro statistical area.
