I understand the purpose of the Uber/Lyft driver strike, which is to raise awareness of low pay, etc. But I don't see how striking for one day -- and saying everyone will be back to work on Thursday -- causes enough corporate pain to create change.

I feel like a very Uber-y thing to do would be to convert the 'Tips' option into some kind of "Living Wage" button and then put the onus on the consumer to choose whether to pay the driver a suggested living wage fare.
