I met a taxi driver from Africa that moved to the Bay in the 80s and now owns 5 houses in SF. A school teacher from HK that owned 5 strip malls and left a $100m estate. An HP employee with 15k-150k salary in his tenure with a $15m estate Lucky few?

What they had in common? Ignored the noise. Worked hard. Lived frugally. As in reused ziploc baggies. Drove second hand Ford cars. Didn’t take foreign vacations.
