Maybe, but I don't see much on the political horizon to dissuade a majority of Californians from feeling that teachers should be paid more and "corporate land barons" should be doing the paying. "Land Barons" - Prop 13 repeal campaign could inspire some tough, nasty commercials.

Yes, but ordinary people don't know much about pensions & find the topic very boring. It's too abstract. "Teachers can't afford their rent" - super-high number of clicks. "Teachers' retirement programs deep in unfunded liability" - only nerds click on that,
