yes. Govt will listen to voters. Tech industry has a huge voice - and they need to promote housing and pro-housing positions - and champion the cause.

imagine if all top VCs come out and say there is a huge crisis in Bay Area - and Bay Area will not be competitive for the next decade if we don't fix housing. may be that will move the needle among NIMBYs ..

If you look at SF, you find that developers are not building projects that are fully approved because the expected selling price is too low. $1100 / Sq Ft, $1.1 million for 1000 sq ft, is too low? So developers have a lot to do with what gets built, and when, and affordablity
