I don't think the zoning is the issue. In the article they're referring to various streamlining tactics that developers can use in effected areas.

And thats really the takeaway. SB 50 upzones 2 BART stops in the Mission, where parcels are between 55` to 85` ft already, and are mostly exempt. Sb50s biggest impacts are upzoning all along Church, i.e. Noe Valley. I wish this was acknowledged at some point

I personally wouldnt mind an expansion of sensitive communities, particularly at the Bernal cut of the J, but the focus on it vs what the bill would do over thr Eastern Neighborhoods Plan is weird since its virtually nothing
