Well I’m not saying do nothing. That’s not an acceptable answer either. There is a housing affordability crisis in CA & there is a serious environmental cost and traffic cost to current growth patterns. I’m a YIMBY (or I erroneously thought myself to be one) & change is needed.

Politically allied with the poorest, most public transportation dependent Angelenos (at a local level) for over 5 decades now. They’ve been voting for more public transportation (& elected officials who support it) when others wouldn’t. You risk splitting apart that coalition. 6/

Public transportation is not good and doesn’t support density being zoned for, you will not have created the TOD that is claimed that we want. Here, something like 8-10% of Angelenos are comepletely public transportation dependent. We know the current housing crisis (11/)
