I wasn't making fun of the problem. I just thought last month's wave of coverage of TikTok was interesting given that it's a Chinese consumer Internet company that is now competitive with Western Internet companies in Western markets.

I agree it’s a problem too. China’s strategy of erecting a digital wall to allow their companies to grow and then export, while simultaneously forcing those companies to share private information with the central government is a HUGE security threat for the world.
