Excited that Silicon Valley Congressman @RoKhanna is scheduled to be our guest on next week’s @CAHousingPod. He’s a co-author on @SenWarren’s new housing bill. We’re not experts on federal housing policy so please let @mlevinreports and I know what you’d like us to ask.

Why is he an enabler of NIMBYs in his own district in Cupertino? Why does he not support more transit-oriented housing in California when a public housing program the size of
@ewarren’s (which I support) is not politically viable anywhere in the near term given GOP Senate control3 replies 1 retweet 63 likes -

Anyway, ask him how many public and/or low-income housing units from the Warren bill would be appropriate in Cupertino and Fremont.

And if he says he’s doing such a great job, you can mention that this plan can’t pass w GOP Senate control, and it only produces like 3M units nationally, which is smaller than the size of California’s entire housing deficit.
