        Recyclables are currently being picked up as waste by @WasteManagement because @RepublicService is no longer accepting most commercial recycling. ♻️ We fully intend to resume #recycling if and when an alternative solution emerges.

        Yep. In Europe, Sweden is known for this practice, which seems oddly out of line with its “green” agenda. My relatives in Iran said the two governments were in talks to sell Iran’s trash to Sweden.

        Sweden still recycles. It does burn non-metal/glass/plastic waste that isn't compostable. Burning centrally for heat/power with good filtering seems to be reasonable from an environmental point of view.
