Unpopular opinion: remote work is mostly bullshit. Way more gets done when you’re all in the same office.

If your office had fewer distractions or a place to process those emails would you do it there? Or something else that makes you prefer home? We built our business in 1 spot and didn’t love the WFH concept

We have an open office. There’s also just the Bay Area and its mega-commutes. I don’t technically have a mega-commute (>90 minutes each way) but I do lose >2 hrs a day commuting.

Love my co-workers, and I think casual workplace socializing builds important bonds that are the foundation of creative collaboration -- but I flee to a cafe whenever I have to do deep reading or sustained writing.

Exactly it is not about what is absolute right or wrong but what is better relative to internal and external factors for a given company.
