2/2 With the downsizing of the defense industry and demographic change, the district became a tossup in 1994 with a Rep winning a narrow majority in 1994. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994_California_State_Assembly_election … Since 2000, it is now a safe Democrat. The Cupertino CC elections may be an indication of change.
