Our dinner discussion revolved around my son’s school project to research creation of Holland Tunnel. Question arose, “why haven’t cities sold naming rights to bridges and tunnels like stadiums have?” Seems like free money. Any examples?

@kimmaicutler’s point that voters (who collectively foot majority of the cost) are less connected to a project when it’s named after a corporation *feel* true to me - eg I’m less supportive of stadium projects after they changed names from “candlestick” or “jack murphy”
