I appreciate what @AnandWrites and others are doing in bringing much more needed scrutiny to philanthropy but multiple non-profit developers have literally asked for a fund like this for at least five years bc the federal govt isn’t coming back.

Blame tech for many things, but you can't for the Bay Area's NIMBYism. Transit would be better, but in it's absence, the tech buses are decent effort to help workers a) live in dense areas not suburbs and b) not commute in cars -- both activities we should encourage.

Also, misstates what is going on. SF has demolition control - these houses aren't being converted to condos. They're being revamped for AirBnB listings.
