it's also an urbanism that makes the case for decommodification as well as the empowerment of marginalized people as a moral necessity and puts the market in context. I don't always agree but... compare to here in SF where I feel like I'm screaming this into the void

I think SF is more about that than Seattle? There are multiple 40+ year old community developers that have substantial power in neighborhood districts?
