I was just thinking that this morning! A big Hayward fault rupture would burst natural gas lines and create the worst urban wilderness interface fire... ever probably. Certainly worse than Rockridge fire.

Camping in your yard is so much nicer in September than January. My wife is from Northridge and 25 years ago today they began a 2 week camping adventure on their front lawn until inspectors passed their home as safe to enter.

Whenever it comes, it will show the impacts of urban over-concentration. Just imagine no electricity for weeks - no elevators - minimal transit - dark nights - no street lights or traffic signals -spoiled food - not fun
