Like in many cases you literally can’t keep the same doctors or health care providers when you change jobs because your network/insurer changes.
-
Frequent swapping creates terrible incentives for health insurance companies too.

Don’t think thats clear. I used to think so too that Americans are hopping around much more https://www.vox.com/the-big-idea/2018/7/11/17559484/gig-economy-jobs-rooted-rootless-moving-job-hopping-millennials …

The growth of health savings accounts is interesting to watch: Millennials like portability from one company to another. Gen X & Boomers like freedom to choose any provider, without in-network or out-of-network limitations.pic.twitter.com/aB4N4hh6Z4

HSAs are fine for a lot of things (primary/preventative) but not for catastrophic.

how can a nation be considered "great" if in the 21st century its citizens do not have access to health care? What is so great about it only being available by winning a lottery? (which is basically what we have)

Our generation might also be sympathetic to the ambitions of entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Presumably we’ve always been sympathetic to them, just maybe not willing to fund their healthcare until now.
