In 2008 Zuck was a media darling. In 2018 he was a media devil. Was this because he changed? No. It's because Facebook's growth made it more attackable. I'm not saying Facebook is perfect. Just that you can conclude nothing from the trend in articles attacking it.

His point is clear: you are at least 7 years late with your conclusion. This doesn't mean that you don't get to scrutinise now, but if you can't admit you dropped the ball, you shouldn't get to condescend others about "putting their big boy pants on" and "taking the heat".
