My general thought on the right's AOC obsession is that a worldview that sorts women into "hot young dummies" and "power-hungry old hags" is built to systemically disqualify women from real power or agency at every point in their lives.

These articles tell me that in 10-15 years, I have a good chance of becoming a politically powerful elder. I look forward to that.

Another point that the 1st article implied wrt what women had to do in the past to replace men in high places with women is that the
#metoo
movement had a lot to do with it. The majority of those accounts have been falsified and didn't hold any ground in court. -
Sometimes one very compliant woman is let through the glass ceiling. That may or may not be you. They advance but put a foot on the necks of other women. In my field they are called “queen bees.”

Finally, I fully attribute my personal success to my own abilities. My gender had nothing to do with it. I do credit that the changing of times and the cultural shift in overall mindset is a positive one for society. Simultaneously, I don't blame males for my personal failings.
