2019 will be a “doozy” per @fredwilson:
-Trump impeached & resigns before trial
-Washington drama = markets cautious
-global trade uncertainties (Euro+China) add to this
-tech/startups are ok but may get price haircut
+longer predictions on crytpo windshttps://avc.com/2019/01/what-is-going-to-happen-in-2019/ …

I don’t actually think there is much appetite for Democrats to impeach Trump. It risks making him a more sympathetic victim for voters going into 2020 & shifts narrative away from Dem presidential candidates, policies and ideas. And then why would Senate Republicans pursue this?

What genuinely new revelations will come from that report? What if it just confirms everything that has been discussed & rehashed repeatedly over the last two years? What is the tipping point that gets Senate Republicans to be OK w/ alienating his base? Everything so far hasn’t.

Replying to @kimmaicutler @rsg and
Trump’s base has to visibly turn on him for Senate Republicans to have the political cover to further an impeachment effort.

imo the key differences now vs ‘74: -5% of GOP voters at ‘18 midterm exit polls were in favor of impeachment -Trump base solid floor at 38-40% -society can’t agree on basic facts -people are so fed up they DGAF I hope I’m wrong & Fred is right, btw. cc:
