The whole point of Alex’s thread and Kim’s (accurate) comment on Kara’s sometimes overly-simplistic take is that “just try to be ethical.” Says nothing about *how*, and conveniently sidesteps how difficult the *how* is.

I worry that just saying “DO ETHICAL THINGS” perpetuates the assumption that private cos should unilaterally make vast precedent setting choices that govern the speech of 2 billion people when in reality
