Because if you teach abroad, you get paid enough to live well (particularly in low-cost countries).

Finishing a book, this is a chapter. Teachers quit when rent hikes a grand. Cities are creating subsidized teacher housing. (This is my first year not teaching).

Also, soooo much red tape. I owned businesses. I would never take an employee off the floor for 100 hours of evaluation data. Data=a retention report. Churn. Sales. Edu data turned into hazing and drove good teachers out.
