You can throw or vote your school board or government out of power. If a consumer finance tech company has duo/monopolistic power and uses that to make a consumer sign an arbitration clause, what recourse do they have if they are misled?

The sociological issue is that proponents of privatization also often hold libertarian values and hold ideologically that regulation can only create perverse incentives. And that those with the most capital (e.g. the Waltons and Kochs) dominate in sectors like charter schools.
