It also creates a "housed"/"unhoused" binary when it would be much better to talk about housing quality standards and level of legal permanence of housing. It is silly that an RV if legally parked in an RV park space is "housing" but if parked along a street it's "homelessness."

I know you mean well, but if anyone doesn’t understand how panic-inducing it is to have one’s existence constantly criminalized and surveilled, maybe an immersive experience would be helpful? I feel like every journalist and public official should have to try it for a few weeks.

I was nearly run over by an RV last October, the vehicle and the man were both in terrible shape. I was so rattled. Still frightens me just thinking of it. A lot of these rigs should not be on the road, forcing them to move them puts everyone at risk.
