Why is that a “tech bros” problem? Why is it not a problem with the way the city govt, which is accountable to voters, defines affordable housing? Wouldn’t it be more problematic if a private co decided to deviate from public institutions and create its own bespoke definition?

Tech bros accept local government definitions because they are not advocates for residents in the first place

Local governments are part of the problem but tech bros are not the solution

Whatever feelings you have about that project, it’s run by a former deputy mayor of New York City who has a lot of public and private sector experience and who is definitely **not** a tech bro at all.
