Yep or at the very least it's worth evaluating solar + batteries when considering the cost of undergrounding

Definitely warrants consideration. The cost solar plus batteries is moving into marginal territory on the cost of California homes. Undergrounding seems cost prohibitive, deforestation/tree trimming for T&D could cause carbon debts that also seem greenhousegas counterproductive.
