There is obviously a good case to be made that Amazon will take more from NYC than it will give, and that it doesn't need any breaks. BUT... those tax breaks are, in theory, based on new incoming revenue. By far the largest subsidies are coming from NY State, not city. (I’d love to see Cuomo explaining those to Buffalo.)
