Now that Cupertino NIMBYs have collected signatures for a ballot initiative to block their city council’s approval of housing on a failed mall, state law kicks in. Now they’ll get a development that’s 50% affordable (or in their eyes “low income” housing). https://buff.ly/2EVlfAO

I think a lot of people have been there for so long it doesn’t matter. This is probably more about things like traffic, more kids competing with your kids in schools, fear of outsiders and change.
