Even after all of those tweets I still have no idea what they actually support doing, if not prop C

I'm still not seeing a specific counter vision, and that makes his arguments against C less compelling. "I will work with all stakeholders to craft smart policy" means nothing. All of the people who have come before him have said the same thing.

Doing nothing to help is irresponsible

the proposition isn’t to vote yes and lock in a tax or to vote no and do nothing. we can always do more; the issue is how.

right, but the opposition isn't proposing something else. They are saying "trust us" even though they are the same politicians that haven't delivered in this area for years. Time for the public to step up and do what's right.

propositions can be incredibly powerful means of reform; look at cannabis. and yet a single one, Prop 13, screwed the state and its residents so bad by leading, in part, to our housing crisis. (google
@kimmaicutler) which is why we have a homelessness crisis in the first place.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
Replying to @Sr_Lazarus @GoBlueInOak1 and
Prop 13 is fucked, but let's not kid ourselves that it is responsible for homelessness. The crisis is a national one and therefore cannot be blamed on a single state prop.

It’s a complicated, multi-faceted problem. That said, the fact that longtime land CA owners can just sit on land for the same-ish tax rate forever, makes it hard to buy the land off them and turn it into other things, like housing or shelters or other things.

i said in part, and what 13 also did was alter the way we local and state government can pay for things.
