I don’t think it’s bad faith or *willful* ignorance. It’s merely incorrect — from the article “People understandably divide the first number by the second and come up with the so-called fact that the city spends $40,672 per homeless person per year”. Not seeing the malice here

The spending isn't a massive secret - http://hsh.sfgov.org/overview/budget/ … Even if you're willing to cut him slack before the initial set of tweets it's certainly malicious for him to refuse to engage or correct himself when it's pointed out multiple times that he got the facts wrong

Again, I’ve read a whole lot about this over 20 years, and it’s not exactly simple to break it down. I appreciate you sending that article my way - but I’ll point out curbed (where the initial stats were quoted) also presents this pretty much as he did, as do many articles.

Hahaha you mad, bro? Why can’t you just admit that the premise of your little math equation was wrong? Best of luck with your bitter stereotyped vision of SF, but
@OurHomeSF has brought together “atomized techies” and “strident militants” who all care about our city.0 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

There are *many* senior people who work for the mayor and work more directly on the frontlines of this issue than she does in multiple depts who think this level of resources is necessary but can’t say anything publicly bc they’re on the executive/administrative side, not leg.
