I don't disagree with your point, but I note that there is no rule that they have to give these houses to *teachers* they can also give them to admin staff. I'm sure teachers aren't the first group of employees the school board rewards when they have largesse to spread around.

And related, they are moving the schools to an *empty lot* a mile away. Why not just build the houses there and save all the demolition and rebuilding hassle? Hmm? So one wonders it is the administrators pushing this plan who want to live in the neighborhood.
