Depends on which companies, if it's a big co like FB or Google, less so. But if it's a mid-size company or a smaller company that cares about burn, then yes.

This is a very bad take. Want to know why wages are so high here? It's so that people can pay rent. Increasing taxes on high incomes (Which I support for other reasons), would just lead to worker demand for even higher gross pay, which the big companies can afford.
