My train from W.Oak to the Mission was still standing only. I think extending the trains is not a great solution to increasing ridership. Suburbs are less incentivised to take BART on the weekends BC frequency.

Should be placed in context of broader public transit ridership declines worldwide. Don’t have the link, but Economist ran a story on this 1-2 months ago. Bay Area (had been) actually holding up well compared to other big metros.

No, but I doubt it will kick up ridership again even when frequency comes back w/ gas prices as low as they are.

weekend and off peak are the discretionary trips in the Bay Area because generally the alternative isn't as miserable (less traffic, cheaper parking)
