This. Twitter sells ads in order to fund technological advances. Not unlike the gun argument: tech provides a platform but users choose their words. I’d offer that as we iterate towards norms and laws for social media, we may have to take uneven steps in the interim as a matter of self preservation, not to mention decency.

I'm sorry but I didn't find this column very specific (even though I am glad you are writing for a platform like the NYTimes right now).
