How about abolish the property tax and end the giant “land taxi medallion” scheme?

Cut the MID, yes, but I'm not sure we need a renters tax credit. Wouldn't it mitigate the need for more substantive reforms?

Making it complicated, confusing, and downright hard to build homes gives the advantage to big developers with deep pockets. Simplify process, legalize missing middle homes,
more opportunity to entrepreneurs / laborerspic.twitter.com/BtKDzzfMzU

A renter's tax credit is a bad idea, esp for extremely rent burdened families. Cost burdened households can slide into crisis at any point of the year- a one time infusion via a tax rebate won't fix that. We need to build more deeply affordable & permanently affordable units.

No, a “renters tax credit” does not make any sense at all. Stop it.

Setting a minimum level to qualify for tax credits is bad. Is there such a rule for mortgage interest?
