Can we all get healthcare coverage forever like all the SF city employees do when they cross the 5-year mark?
The public doesn’t have a language for having a good conversation about this. It’s either UNIONS

. There’s no in between. I haven’t seen a good in between probably ever except in small academic circles.

The point is that local governments with electoral concerns, plus existing pension holders, have little incentive to fund future obligations. So my tiny disagreement is that you say "public sector unions are really toying with public trust"--unions often ≠ pension boards
