Not people already on a green card I'm pretty sure ("change of status" is a term of art, extending a green card isn't that) but everyone else, yeah. Certainly would have made me think twice two years ago when I got my green card through a change of status application.

(I had thought green cards were supposed to mean permanent residency but it turns out they expire after ten years, you have to renew them, and renewal can be denied if eg you've committed a felony in that time, iirc. This renewal is not a change of status though. Yet.)

And once this happens to someone, it will be a permanent blemish on their record, so even when the administration and the policies change again, all those individuals will not really have a chance to re-enter the country (past deportation = impossible to get a new visa)

Or any other country! Being deported will make it nearly impossible to even get a visitor visa in the rest of the world!
