I just feel like these debates can turn into language gotyas which takes away from the point. I keep I thinking it wish there was a way (with no suffering) to just give people what they way they want. And then let them see if they actually like it.

european pov / imho: markets efficiently settle between buyers and sellers society acts on behalf of those who are neither (eg unborn, unable, etc) main method for this is market regulation (economic policies) hence completely interlinked and hard to split
