If Facebook has extra money to do this, I think it means they should be paying more in taxes.

...and I also have very little faith in myopic peninsula leadership to spend it well at all. The whole reason they’re doing this is Menlo Park is happy to take their tax dollars on office space for tens of thousands of workers but keep everything as $2-3M+ single family homes.

SamTrans is a tiny agency with structural financial issues. For this to move forward, a public private partnership is necessary.

I still wish we had... less fragmentation of Bay Area transit agencies such that it was a lot easier to take on large scale infrastructural projects more proactively.
