And these mega corporations continue expanding in the same place. These corporations have the financial wherewithal to expand anywhere they wish and create a new ecosystem there. But no, they want their employees to suck it up and live, packed like sardines.

they're expanding outside the Bay Area. But also it's ridiculous that we can't channel this wealth into a coherent transit system, or nice mid-sized density around the Bay a la a European city. Instead, it's jump propping up dumb tract homes into the $2-3M range.

I don't think those people get that mad. Or if they're bummed that their kids can't afford to live here they don't do anything to support decreasing the cost of housing.

My experience is that they retire to move to Texas or Florida to be near their kids.
