It’s disappointing tho that Bolton apparently only wrote about the Singapore summit and not Hanoi. Many blamed him at least in part for the collapse of those talks b/c of his hard-line stance.
Bolton gives a “fly-on-the-wall account” of Singapore, saying Trump cared little for details and saw it merely as “an exercise in publicity,” per the Post. Many critics said the same thing at the time, but can't wait to read more details if the book makes it to the shelves!
Bolton also wrote that about a month after Singapore, Pompeo dismissed Trump’s diplomacy w/ North Korea as having a “zero probability of success,” according to NYT.
