A few highlights from today’s #covid19 briefings: South Korea calls on people to delay or cancel nonessential travel overseas & if they go to self-quarantine for 2 weeks upon return. Also plans to expand special entry procedures due to increase in foreign influx.
New case numbers ticked up slightly on Tuesday but stayed below 100 for 4th day in a row at 93. Officials remain worried about cluster infections in churches, nursing homes etc. Total is 8,413, w/84 deaths. More than 18% of confirmed cases have fully recovered & been discharged.
About 500 youths have been infected, officials said in explaining why schools and day cares will stay closed for another two weeks.
