I just talked to my parents who live in Idaho. They said the store shelves there were empty & they had to borrow toilet paper from my sister. No joke. Now I’m wondering if I should mail back the package for them (though I’ll keep the masks. This is South Korea after all!)

All the way from Idaho! Does she think there's no pharmacies in SoKo?

Oh she knows. It’s more about whether she thinks I would take the time to buy it all. Plus masks are the one thing they have run out of here

I’ve seen the Okinawa community posts about people worrying about their homes in the states. Some mentioned about sending their loved ones a care package with food and toilet papers! Japan/Okinawa calmed down after a week of hysteria about paper shortage rumors.
