I don't mean to be disrespectful, but how could anyone know or determine the nationality of a set of remains?

They did a preliminary forensic analysis at Osan, looking at clues like size and shape of bones and helmets, boots, other items found with remains. They won't confirm IDs until more details analysis is done with DNA etc.
